    B-17G tail turrets now have wider firing angles (60° horizontal, 45° vertical instead of 20° and 30°). JF-17 now fires missiles alternately from each wing for better balance. Several display and positioning bugs fixed.

  • Server maintenance for Heavy Cavalry major update Game Status 25 June 2026

    War Thunder servers will be unavailable from June 24 at 08:00 GMT for the Heavy Cavalry major update deployment. Prepare 20–35 GB of disk space depending on your client. Your daily login streak counter won't reset for 2 days.

  • New rocket engine mechanics and missile autopilot improvements Meta Shift 25 June 2026

    The Heavy Cavalry update introduces a new mechanic: rocket engine thrust now depends on atmospheric pressure, increasing at altitude. AIM-54 Phoenix missiles get this first, with future rollout to other systems. Your air combat tactics will shift.

    The Fw 189 С, a German premium ground attacker, arrives in the next major update. Armed with four machine guns and two 15 mm cannons with 30+ mm AP penetration, it excels against early light tanks.
