Service overview

GameSight is a gameplay signal and time coordination system for live-service game players.

The service helps you understand what matters in your games, at the right time: what you might miss, what has changed since your last session and what you should do today.

GameSight is not a news aggregator, a social network or a player statistics tracker.

The service is available at: https://gamesight.app and https://gamesight.fr.

Data collected and purposes

Account creation

To use GameSight, you must create an account. The following data may be collected:

• Email address: required, used for authentication and sending alerts.
• Password: required, used for account security. It is stored in hashed form and never in plain text.
• Followed game preferences: required, used to personalize signals.
• Alert urgency threshold: required, used to filter notifications.
• Preferred language: optional, used to adapt the interface in French or English.

Content generated through use

When you use GameSight, certain data is created and stored in order to provide the service:

• The list of games you follow.
• Your active gameplay signals and their read status.
• Your session difference history, meaning what changed between two logins.
• Your game context for each followed title.

Technical data

At each login, certain technical data may be collected to ensure the security of the service:

• IP address: security and fraud prevention, retained for 1 day in Supabase Auth logs.
• Login timestamp: account security, retained for 1 day in Supabase Auth logs.
• Session data, including JWT token: used to maintain the session, retained for the duration of the session.

Authentication

Authentication is managed by Supabase Auth. Users log in with an email address and password.

Passwords are hashed and are never accessible in plain text, neither by GameSight nor by the data controller.

Supabase, Inc., located at 260 Peachtree Street NW, Atlanta, GA, United States, acts as a processor for authentication management.

Hosting and database

GameSight’s front-end hosting is provided by Netlify, Inc., located in San Francisco, United States.

The database and back-end are managed with Supabase, using a PostgreSQL database hosted on the infrastructure used by Supabase.

Your data may be transferred to servers located outside the European Union. These transfers are carried out on the basis of appropriate safeguards, including the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission where applicable.

Emails and notifications

GameSight may send you emails in the following cases:

• Account creation confirmation.
• Gameplay signal alerts, if you have enabled email notifications.
• Notifications about upcoming events for the games you follow.

The email delivery service used is Resend, provided by Resend, Inc., United States.

Only your email address and the alert content are transmitted to Resend for email delivery.

You can disable email notifications at any time from your account preferences.

Third-party APIs

GameSight uses certain third-party APIs to provide video game-related data.

• RAWG: video game search and data. The data sent consists of search terms not linked to your account.
• IGDB: video game data. The data sent consists of search terms not linked to your account.

No personally identifiable data is sent to RAWG. Searches are performed server-side.

IGDB belongs to Twitch Interactive, Inc., an Amazon subsidiary. Access to the IGDB API may require authentication through Twitch. In that case, only technical application identifiers, such as the client ID, are transmitted. No GameSight user data is shared with Twitch or IGDB.

Cookies and local storage

GameSight uses a minimal number of cookies and similar technologies, strictly necessary or functional.

• Supabase session token: essential cookie, used to maintain your login session, retained for the duration of the session.
• Local preferences: functional storage, used to remember interface settings, retained until account deletion or browser data clearing.

GameSight uses localStorage to remember certain interface preferences, such as language, urgency threshold or recent games.

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

Data retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the service.

• Account data: until account deletion.
• Gameplay signals: until account deletion.
• Technical logs: depending on their nature, including 1 day for certain Supabase Auth logs.
• Sent emails: until account deletion when this data is linked to your account.

Your GDPR rights

As a resident of the European Union, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access: obtain a copy of your personal data.
• Right to rectification: correct inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure: request deletion of your account and data.
• Right to object: object to certain processing activities.
• Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured format.
• Right to restriction: temporarily suspend processing.
• Withdrawal of consent: at any time, for processing based on consent.

To exercise your rights, send an email to gamesightapp@gmail.com with the subject “GDPR Request”. You will receive a response within 30 days.

Account deletion

To delete your account and all associated data, you can send a request to gamesightapp@gmail.com.

Deletion results in the removal of all your personal data, signals and preferences within 30 days.

Children

GameSight is intended for people aged at least 16.

If you become aware that a child under 16 has created an account, please contact gamesightapp@gmail.com so that the account can be deleted.

Security

GameSight implements several measures designed to protect personal data:

• Encrypted communication via HTTPS/TLS.
• Passwords hashed and never stored in plain text.
• Database access restricted through Supabase Row Level Security.
• Authentication tokens with limited lifetime.
